Airtel Money Service for IRCTC Train Ticket Booking

Bharti Airtel’s mobile wallet service Airtel Money and IRCTC was connected together for easiest mobile phone based ticket reservation. Airtel provides some more features their customers such as Searching Stations, Trains and their availability etc.

The Airtel customers can simply search, trains, availability,PNR enquiry and ticket cancellation by dialing *400#, so that users can access to a USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data)  menu. USSD system is supported in all phones regardless of the company or basic and smart phones. For this service Airtel won't charge you anything as you pay for your data plan, messages or calls etc.

For Accessing Airtel Money Service, you will have to dial *400#, and Airtel Money express account will be generated, into which customers will have to invest money online or by visiting any Airtel Money outlet nearby.

For using this service, IRCTC account is must and it should be updated with your Airtel Money number. 

After booking the ticket, IRCTC will generate and send a confirmation SMS as usual. Customers can use it as the e-ticket while traveling along with a Valid ID Card.

IRCTC is going to launch ticket booking via SMS and USSD July 1 onward. While Airtel Money is providing USSD service, SMS services are being offered by Bharat BPO, Frequency Weekly and Pyro Group.

Customers can send SMS to 139 and 5676714 for Bharat BPO & Frequency Weekly from mobile services and for Pyro Group, customers should install a BSNL pre-paid card.
