The giant social networking site Twitter has been hacked, and 2,50,000 account details including username and password has been leaked, the authority of Twitter revealed. As the password was leaked the other data on those accounts might/ surely be leaked. Twitter says that the hackers are still unknown.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Phablet launches in India

Micromax, the Indian handset maker has just announced the upcoming availability of its new Android flagship smartphone, the A116 Canvas HD. Phablet is a mixed form of Smart Phone and Tablet. Being Indians are best lovers of tablets, this device is supposed to be hit the Indian market. Moreover, the smartphone will be equipped with a powerful 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and 1GB of RAM .No word on the amount of storage yet, but the phone will come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). The A116 Canavas HD runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system , and it also boast an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera, as well as a high-capacity 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery. The smartphone will be available for purchase in early February for only Rs 15,000 off contract, which is about €210 or $280.

Nationwide Mobile Number Portability by February 2013

Nationwide Mobile Number Portability is expected to be rolled out by February 2013. This will allow mobile subscribers to retain their numbers even when they shift to a different telecom circle. This was announced by the Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal at the ‘India Telecom 2012′ in New Delhi. Currently, a user is allowed to switch to a different operator within his/her circle, while retaining his/her phone number. India has 22 telecom circles. According to TRAI, by the end of October 2012, about 75.14 million subscribers have submitted their requests to different service providers for porting their mobile number
